Pride Not Prejudice is our limited edition yarn for Pride Month and it’s our next bookish yarn too! This colorway is inspired by the Progress Pride flag with each color of the flag painted along the whole skein. When I say this is limited edition, I mean that this yarn is only available in the month of June and at Local Yarn stores in limited quantities on limited bases so grab a skein while you can!
As this is a Pride Month limited edition yarn, I will be donating 20% of profits from all sales of Pride Not Prejudice sold in the month of June to the “It Gets Better Project.” It Gets Better is a nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe. You can read more about these awesome people, here. Shout out to my sister Rachele and her wife Jordan for telling me about this organization and all of the important work they do! Love you guys!

Earth Friendly Sock- This base is composed of 85% superwash merino and 15% biodegradable nylon. In a landfill, standard nylon takes decades to break down in landfill conditions but biodegradable nylon only takes about 5 years. This doesn’t mean that your handknit hat will fall apart while you’re wearing it because biodegradable nylon is just as durable and strong as regular nylon and won’t decompose until it is thrown away and exposed to landfill conditions. Earth Friendly Sock is one of my softest sock yarns (with a 19.5 micron count) and has the longest yardage of all of my yarns!

Like a Cloud- An incredibly soft and squishy base made with a single ply extra fine Merino wool. This yarn is perfect for soft drapey shawls or anything that you want to wear next to the skin. This fiber is ethically sourced and is from sheep farms where mulesing is not practiced.

Gilded Sock- This base is so fun with a touch of glitter! The extrafine merino is a dream, gliding through your fingers as you work! The gold stellina glitter woven in to the yarn will give any project your working on a gorgeous subtle glow. With a little bit of nylon thrown in for strength, you can’t go wrong with this base. This fiber is ethically sourced and is from sheep farms where mulesing is not practiced.
