Back in the summer of 2021, I picked up “It Happened One Summer” at my local indie bookstore with the recommendation of one of my favorite booksellers. I finished it in two days with the realization that Tessa, freaking, Bailey knows what she’s doing when she writes books about love. I cackled, I teared up, I swooned and since then, I can’t preorder her new releases fast enough. Fast forward to summer 2024, I actually got to meet Tessa Bailey at Book Bonanza and tell her how much I love her books. I asked her if I could create book yarn for one of her books and it just so happened, that Avon publishers were creating a hardcover special edition of “It Happened One Summer.” Thus, the book yarn colorway, inspired by “It Happened One Summer” was born.

Each skein has a playful speckle of sunshine yellows, vivid reds, over a white background and the rest of the skein is covered with a layering of three different blues. I speckled the whole thing lightly with black for a bit of contrast and you’ve got a beachy crested waves situation going on that will be perfect for any summery-beachy crafting!

This is a limited edition colorway. The colorway will retire soon and once it’s gone, it’s gone forever!
