Diana Prince

from $27.00

Would you believe me if I told you that “Diana Prince” was inspired by a flower? I desperately wanted a flower plant I could grow in my house during the winter here in Michigan (it’s an obsession of mine). I knew I wanted an Amaryllis so I researched all of the different types and colors online. I settled on “Royal Velvet” and my daughter surprised me with one for my bday this past fall. If I know anything about flowers (and I do), often times the pictures of the flower looks so much better than it actually does in person. Imagine my DElight, when my amaryllis bloomed looking JUST like the picture! I knew I needed to capture it in yarn form because it was the deepest red I’ve ever seen in a flower with a dark purple hue ringing the center of the flower itself.

After conducting a bit of yarnie magic, I created a yarn to match my precious flower. Lastly, this intoxicating flower AND yarn color needed a name. I gifted both yarn and flower (did you know I name my indoor plants? It’s weird but I love it and they are always chosen with care) with the name, “Diana Prince,” because I couldn’t think of a better name for these truly beautiful pieces of art than Wonder Woman’s alter ego. Have I mentioned my lifelong obsession with Wonder Woman? This flower/yarn has a lot of emotions for me, if you can’t already tell!

Side note, Diana Prince (the flower) is growing along side another amaryllis whom I’ve named, Steve Trevor. If you know you know, and if you don’t, I think you should look it up! It’s romantic and heartwarming.

Yarn usually ships within 1 week. Dyed to order yarn may take up to 2 weeks.
