Fire in the Water- March Color of the Month!

from $27.00

Fire in the water is a story in contrasts. Fiery reds and oranges, bright vivid blues, touched with a soft blush and smattered with black speckles to bring the whole thing together. Each skein is individually hand painted and then speckled, making Fire in the Water a truly one of a kind experience. Read on for the process…

Most colorways from BrittyRaeKnits are pan dyed (i.e. laying skeins of yarn in large pans and pouring different colors of dye stock over certain parts of the yarn) but Fire in the Water is actually hand painted. Each skein of yarn is split into thirds so a third of the skein is painted a fiery orange, the next third is painted a deep red and the last third is painted a tropical blue. Between each of the 3 colors, we leave a good portion bare and then fill it in with the most delicate, barely there blush color. Once the color gets processed, each skein is lightly speckled with black.

Yarn usually ships within 1 week. Dyed to order yarn may take up to 2 weeks.
