Waging War is the next installment in the Immortal Descendants Series, inspired by April White’s series of the same name. Waging War is definitely a labor of love and it follows a different method of yarn dyeing. Typically yarn is soaked in water before it goes in to the dye bath but Waging War is completely dry before it enters the dye bath. I slowly lower each individual dry skein of yarn in to a deep red dye bath and, because the yarn was dry, the fiber that hits the water first soaks up more red and the fiber that enters the water last becomes a lighter red. It makes such an AMAZING tonal color by itself! Then I speckle Waging War all over with black, burgundy, and red. It’s so beautiful and a little bit edgy-I absolutely love it!
